Leadership: To work with Deaf/Hard of Hearing graduates in leadership training programs to encourage the creation of more leaders and job positions in the field of Deaf Education. To design and gather data for developing a leadership training program in education administration for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. To examine the issues of leadership in the Deaf Community and teach pro-active leadership skills to Deaf/Hard of Hearing graduate students. To design and develop a leadership training model for preschool-12 grade mainstream programs for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing which can be replicated state or nationwide.
Education: To work with principals, administrators, preschool-12 and post-secondary teachers and other leaders to improve curricula for the deaf in the areas of language development, reading and writing skills and leadership skills. To design and develop plans for establishing a charter or private school for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing with innovative ideas and goals based upon the latest research and technology.
Deaf Studies: To study the culture, heritage, and language of the Deaf and to bring awareness to the public through the media. To design and develop plans for establishing Deaf Studies programs in a university setting, e.g. a department or degree and to contribute new ideas to already existing programs.

- Assisted the Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in low level English skills; tutored students with one-on-one sessions; corrected students’ papers; prepared handouts.
- Revised and updated Student Handbook; contributed ideas for the development of the Reading Curriculum for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing; performed basic office duties.

- Designed and developed curricula for American Sign Language I, II and III; have taught Deaf Culture, History and Language to 7th through 12th grade students; advising students in their progress in one-on-one sessions; encouraged students to develop and enhance their writing and research skills by doing monthly reports on some aspect of deafness.
1999-2000 Deaf Employment & Community Center, Goodwill Industries of
- Designed and developed curricula for both General Living Skills and Employment Skills programs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing adults; taught basic academic lessons and living skills; advised students in their progress in one-on-one sessions; taught workshops to both students and clients; established networking contacts within the Deaf community and schools for support and referrals; developed the monthly reports for the State Vocational Rehabilitation(s) and U.S. Department of Education; developed contacting relationships with employers for job placement and deaf awareness education. The 1999-2000 program had a successful high retention percentage (98-100%) in the employment of 1+ year for the program graduates.

- Taught sign language to primary school age students (grade 3-6) in 6-week course sessions; provided hand-eye coordination and creative activities to develop the language receptive and structure skills.
